We have launched a winter special offer combining two of our most popular tours, Albany History + Highlights and Albany’s Whale Story to give you a full day out on our Busy Blue Bus.
The tour includes:
- entrance to all attractions
- morning tea, lunch, afternoon tea
- pick up and drop off to guests accommodation
- our experienced guide
- a special gift!
This tour showcases Albany’s rich and amazing history and begins with a guided tour at Mount Clarence and the Padre White Lookout before entering the National ANZAC Centre for an interactive exploration following the journey of a character throughout the war. Morning tea is then provided at Middleton Beach and if you’re lucky you may spot a whale whilst you sample some of the tasty Great Southern produce available.
The tour then continues to see the Patrick Taylor Cottage, the oldest surviving dwelling in WA, followed by a guided tour of The Brig Amity which takes you back to 1826 and gives an insight into what life would have been like as a convict on board. Lunch is then provided looking out across King George Sound which sets the scene for the next activity, Albany’s Historic Whaling Station. The private guided tour brings to life Australia’s whaling history and reflects on the significance of whale hunting in the past and recognises the value of whale watching today. Afternoon tea provides another opportunity to enjoy some tasty local produce before travelling back to Albany through the Torndirrup National Park.
The Gap and the Natural Bridge provide a final breath taking stop before our guide will deliver you back to your accommodation with a special memento of the day.
