Maryanne, Tour Manager, greeting guests on tour at the Visitor Centre in Albany WA.

As most people are aware Maryanne’s life is about to go through a significant transformation in the next couple of months when she and her husband welcome their first child into the world. Maryanne says “It’s times like these that result in reflection and for me this is reflection of my time so far working with Busy Blue Bus and the fantastic team of staff, suppliers and customers that I have come to know so well.
Over the last three years Busy Blue Bus has become an extension of my family, and it will be sad to spend a length of time not seeing my “family” every day, but very exciting to look forward to the new adventure and challenges that come hand in hand with starting a family.
I would like to take this opportunity to show my appreciation to all the staff and suppliers that I have worked with so closely in my time at Busy Blue Bus, you have all made me feel so supported and confident to be successful in my role as Tour Manager. Paul Smith will be filling my shoes in my absence and I am certain that he will be given the same support in his time in the role.”
Paul, originally from Katanning, has recently returned from Melbourne to rejoin his family in WA. In Melbourne he worked for the Immigration Museum and Scienceworks Museum of Technology, conducting tours and training other staff to use anything from liquid nitrogen to megavolt lightning generators. While working at Busy Blue Bus, on Friday mornings he’ll continue to don his pith helmet for tours at the Princess Royal Fortress. At other times in the week you’ll find him assisting visitors at the Albany Visitor Centre in York St, Albany.
