Oranje Tractor Wine tasting, guided by the owners of the winery.  Enjoy a Wine Flight guided by Murray Gomm. Wines paired with local, seasonal produce.

Your excursion begins at the Albany Visitor Centre where you meet our Busy Blue Bus Tours + Charters driver.   The tour departs at 10.30am, Sat 28th Sept 2019 and returns to York St in time to see riders in the Southern Peaks event reach the finish line.  Enjoy your morning relaxed and sipping fabulous wines, selecting something to accompany your meal.

Southern Art & Craft Trail Tour 4th Oct 2019

Get on board to meet artists at four venues and see the work of over ten artists in the wildness of Walpole with Busy Blue Bus Tours + Charters.

Take the day off and travel with us to see exceptional art works on a most beautiful trail! The Southern Art & Craft Trail 2019 embraces over 86 venues and over a hundred artists exhibiting their work in a three week period in spring on the South Coast.

This is the 17th Art Trail curated by ArtSouthWA and includes towns like Albany, Cranbrook, Denmark, Gnowangerup, Hopetoun, Kojonup, Lake Grace, Manjimup, Pemberton, Torbay and Walpole. Venues are private studios and art spaces opened up for public access, some only for the duration of the event. Artists in their habitats will be available to talk about their work, in mediums including textiles, painting, sculptures, jewelry, ceramics, photography and woodcraft.

Take a road trip with Busy Blue Bus and we’ll show you to four venues in or near Walpole in one a day seeing the works of over ten artists and meet with some.  Venues on the tour include Dingo Flat Studio, the exhibition space at Valley of the Giants Tree Top Walk, Petrichor Gallery and the Studio of Marilyn Barrington. See works of Robyn Dale, Anne Luscombe, Penny Bird, Justine Gamblin, Harvey Heil, Elizabeth Edmonds, Marilyn Barrington.  Relax, sit back and let us do the driving; lunch included.

Tour departs Friday 4th October at 8.30am from the Albany Visitor Centre and returns 4.30pm.  Tickets can be purchased online at busybluebus.com.au/tours and cost $78 per person.

Albany Wine & Food Show

General Admission includes entry, souvenir tasting glass, complimentary wine tasting all day, complimentary cooking demos, live music and face painting.

Food is available for purchase and you can buy wine by the glass or for take home consumption.

Wine Seminar ticket includes a tasting and chats on 4 Great Southern Wines presented by Alex Johnson from Plantagenet Wines. Please note this ticket does not include entry to the festival. Pre-purchase only.

VIP Lounge ticket includes event admission, a premium Plumm souvenir glass, complimentary wine from the Lounge Bar, Gourmet Barbecue during the afternoon, exclusive seating and the normal complimentary wine tasting all day, complimentary cooking demos and live music and face painting. Cooking School ticket includes event admission and a cooking class with Sophie Budd with all equipment, ingredients and recipes included. 12pm Cooking School – Chicken and Brie Tortellini. 2.30pm Cooking School – Crumbed Whiting and Delaware Chips. It also includes the normal complimentary wine tasting all day, complimentary cooking demos and live music and face painting. Wish You Were Beer: Seafood, Shanties & Brews

Set yourself adrift for a night of food, froths, friends and fun.

The seafood will always be fresh and tasty in the Great Southern, but a pairing with some up and coming craft beer will be a fantastic new way to experience the falvours and also understand just how quickly the brewing industry has grown at a local level. Join local celebrity chef Amy Hamilton from Liberte and Wilson Brewing as they serve up a treat with the Shanty Men singing their ballads from the back of the brig.

Ticket includes a degustation of tapases by Amy Hamilton from Liberte, brews from Wilsons Brewing Company, Great Southern wine and entertainment by The Shantymen.

Taste Great Southern Express 

Hit the road in 2019 and we’ll do the driving! 

This new tour venture will bring together gourmet food, premium accommodation and first-rate transport to take Perth foodies on a trip to remember.  

Three WA businesses have teamed up to create a new South West food experience: The Taste Great Southern Express. Albany’s Quality Apartments Banksia Gardens has partnered with Busy Blue Bus Tours + Charters and event organisers to offer an all-inclusive accommodation, event, food, wine and transport package over the popular Taste Great Southern Food Festival in April 2019.  

The The Taste Great Southern Express is a fun filled 4 day package (5-8 April 2019) to remember. The package includes return transport from Perth to Albany, 3 nights’ accommodation with breakfast at Quality Apartments Banksia Gardens, and tickets and coach transfers to the following 3 festival events: 

  • Wish You Were Beer”, (Friday 5 April, 5.30pm – 9.30pm), a not to be missed evening aboard the Brig Amity, filled with seafood from Liberte, shanties from the Shantymen and brews from Wilson Brewing Company!
